Address: 250-7997 Westminster Highway Richmond, BC
Type of Restaurant: Japanese, Sushi, Barbeque

Ambiance Setting/Design (out of five): 3/5 – very small restaurant, with BBQ set up on each one. Service is prompt.
Recommended: Fried Udon
Overall: 6/10
(1-4: will never come back, 5: pass (I’m okay with a tinier morsel), 6: acceptable, 7: okay, 8: good, 9: Wow! Please enlarge my morsel. 10: Perfection. I could eat a morsel of this every day!)
Will come back? No
What I ate:
Kobe Rice
  • 6.5/10
  • Not enough Kobe beef in the rice
  • The stone pot on the bottom was hot enough so that the bottom got very crunchy
  • But lacked flavour
Fried bacon Udon
  • 7.5/10
  • Had a good amount of bacon
  • Not overly salty
  • Tasted a bit like carbonara pasta
  • Most enjoyable dish of the meal
  • A little bit too oily
River Roll – imitation crab, avocado and cream cheese topped with smoked salmon
  • 6/10
  • Nothing special
  • Disappointed by the proportion of cream cheese to smoked salmon to crab
  • Flavour was nothing unique
Deep Fried Gyoza
  • 5/10
  • The shell was hard and tasted like cardboard
  • Lacked flavour
  • Inside was dry and could only taste strong pepper flavour
  • It was almost at the point of being inedible
Summary: Would not go back again. Service was good but food lacked quality.
