What I ate:
Sugar bun
  • 9/10
  • This sugar bun was perfection
  • The cream inside wasn’t too sweet
  • When cut into the cream didn’t ooze out it was such a perfect consistency that it stayed in place
  • The bun itself was covered with sugar but was not overly sweet and had a nice bite to it and not too heavy or dense
  • The bun was the perfect size to share with others
Chocolate Zeppole
  • 8/10
  • The chocolate zeppole was not as good as the sugar bun
  • The chocolate cream filling was dark and yet not too sweet
  • This one was dense than the sugar bun
  • I did not enjoy this one was much because the chocolate on the top was of low quality and way too sweet for my liking, if not for that I would have given it higher marks
Hot Chocolate
  • 8/10
  • Lacked chocolate flavour but wasn’t too sweet
  • Tasted mostly of milk
  • Nothing special or memorable able it
Soup of the Day: Cream of Celeriac
  • 8.5/10
  • Very creamy and luscious
  • I think this was my first encounter with the root celeriac and I have to say I did not dislike it
  • It gave a very earthy and warm flavour to the soup, different from potato but still good
Pizza of the day: Duck comfit and mushrooms
  • 7.5/10
  • The pizza crust itself was very thin and lacked chewiness but very crunchy
  • There was a good amount of duck comfit and mushrooms on the pizza as well as cheese and arugula but overall I found the pizza dry
Summary: Must have a sugar bun, they are I dare say one of the best. The food here is all pretty good, they have some good flavours and innovative dishes.
