Overall: 6/10
(1-4: will never come back, 5: pass (I’m okay with a tinier morsel), 6: acceptable, 7: okay, 8: good, 9: Wow! Please enlarge my morsel. 10: Perfection. I could eat a morsel of this every day!)
Will come back? No- there’s better BBT down in the sub and the food there isn’t great
What I ate:
20141003_120329
Korean twisted potato – sour cream onion ($4.50)
  • 5/10 – Extremely disappointing
  • It wasn’t crispy and it was soaked in oil
  • The oil made it very soggy
  • I was hoping for a Richmond Night Market experience but unfortunately it disappointed
  • Also it wasn’t coated evenly in sour cream and onion flavouring

Honey green milk tea ($3.50)
  • 7/10
  • This was standard milk tea, it was nice that I could taste the green tea flavour
  • Couldn’t really taste the honey and luckily it wasn’t too sweet

(I got this to go so the lasa soup comes on the side but I forgot to take a photo of it sorry!)
Lasa with oil noodle, beef brisket, red sausage ($6.25) + ($1 for bubble waffle)
  • 6/10
  • Surprisingly it was quite flavourful, could taste different spices
  • But the amount of MSG was overwhelming and the salt content was way too high
  • The noodles weren’t overcooked and there was a good amount but they were all broken
  • There were 4 pieces of beef brisket and 3 pieces of red sausage which was a good amount for the price paid and they tasted acceptable
  • There was also a good amount of vegetables

Bubble waffle ($1 because of the combo)
  • 6/10
  • When it was warm it was crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside BUT it could be crispier and could be chewier
  • There was a lack of egginess an eggy flavour but it was the right amount of sweetness
  • When cold, it was totally soggy and disappointing
Things to Improve on: Using less MSG, using fresher ingredients, frying the Korean twisted potato at a higher temperature to keep the crispiness
Summary: Okay for a mediocre lunch and food for sharing but I wouldn’t recommend it (I may even warn you to stay away)
