(1-4: will never come back, 5: pass (I’m okay with a tinier morsel), 6: acceptable, 7: okay, 8: good, 9: Wow! Please enlarge my morsel. 10: Perfection. I could eat a morsel of this every day!)
Will come back? Maybe – good place to buy gifts for others and for their ice cream bars
What I ate:
“ALLURING SIMPLE” (Made with Chocolate Arts’ proprietary chocolate blend, Allure (a 71.1% blend of Mexican, Dominican and Peruvian beans). Served with a chocolate marshmallow and “shorties”, chocolate-coated shortbread cubes. )
This hot chocolate was just like the name describes, simple.
It was smooth but not very thick
It lacked a deeper lusciousness that I was craving from a 71% dark chocolate
The shorties were nice and crunchy
“WAS’ UP?” (Made with Cacao Barry Ocoa chocolate and infused with wasabi. Served with a sesame seed Florentine)
I enjoyed this hot chocolate a little more than the alluring simple one because of the added wasabi flavour
When you just drink it, it tastes like a Mexican hot chocolate with that addition of spice. Then later the wasabi flavour creeps up on you at the end and it isn’t so strong as to make you cry, but you can definitely tell that it’s there
Again I felt that this chocolate was as creamy as I would have wanted it
Summary: Good place for chocolates and a chat with some good friends. A good place for shopping for a friend’s birthday or gifts.
