Bump n Grind Café

Date Visited: February 9 2015
Address: 916 Commercial Drive Vancouver, BC V5L 3W7
Website: http://www.bumpngrindcafe.com/
Type of Restaurant: Coffee, bakery, sandwiches, cakes, cookies
Price Range: $
Ambiance (out of five)/Setting/Design/service: 4/5 – very clean cut and simply decorated (a commonly used design in new coffee shops in Vancouver), service was somewhat disorganized
Overall: 7/10
(1-4: will never come back, 5: pass (I’m okay with a tinier morsel), 6: acceptable, 7: okay, 8: good, 9: Wow! Please enlarge my morsel. 10: Perfection. I could eat a morsel of this every day!)
Will come back? No – wouldn’t become a go to coffee shop even though it is close to my place, nothing special about it that would make me want to go back
What I ate:
  • 7/10
  • Latte was okay but nothing outstanding
  • It tasted more like a cappuccino than a latte because it was stronger
  • The overall texture could have been smoother
Matcha Brownie
  • 7/10
  • Good matcha flavour, didn’t have bitterness which is good
  • Was on the sweeter side
  • Wish there was some crunchy component to it
Summary: Coffee and brownie was mediocre. The atmosphere was very comfortable but the food is nothing that I would go back for or that I couldn’t find elsewhere in Vancouver. Nothing makes it unique
