Overall: 6.5/10
(1-4: will never come back, 5: pass (I’m okay with a tinier morsel), 6: acceptable, 7: okay, 8: good, 9: Wow! Please enlarge my morsel. 10: Perfection. I could eat a morsel of this every day!)
Will come back? No
What I ate:
Four Miso Ramen
  • 6.5/10
  • The four miso ramen didn’t taste like anything special
  • Wasn’t as flavourful as I had expected from a combination of 3 different miso’s
  • Very light soup
White Sesame Ramen
  • 6/10
  • Extremely disappointing
  • The white sesame lacked aromatic flavours
  • The overall texture of the broth was somewhat strange, I would have preferred it to be stronger in flavour
  • The ramen itself was cooked a little under al dente but I got a huge clump in my noodles (like they weren’t cooked and they couldn’t split apart)
Kurobuta Pork Dumplings
  • 7/10
  • The pork dumplings were nice and crispy
  • Had a good amount of juice to them
  • The pork itself was not too dry and was well flavoured
  • Nice and savoury
  • But the skin was a bit too hard and could have been better
Things to Improve on: Broth
Summary: Interesting setting (Robson Square food court) for a ramen shop. The ramen and the broth are below standard in terms of Vancouver ramen but it was interesting to try the White sesame broth.
