Date Visited: May 30 2015 What I ate: IMG_0482 IMG_0481 IMG_0485 IMG_0488 (the view from one side) IMG_0492   20150530_115711 (complimentary bread) IMG_0499 Pork Belly Sliders

  • 6.5/10
  • Today’s the day I found out that Chang An food is not my style
  • The burger was definitely on the dry side which is the traditional style but I didn’t really like it
  • The pork inside was on the drier side
  • Overall not my style

20150530_122224 Cucumber Cold Noodle

  • 7/10
  • The noodles were definitely not al dente but more mushy
  • I substituted the spicy sauce for peanut sauce, the peanut sauce was somewhat watery
  • But the cucumber made it pretty refreshing

IMG_0497 Dry Beef Noodle

  • 6/10
  • Beef was too dry but it was flavourful
  • The noodles itself were cooked nicely
  • The portion was somewhat small

IMG_0495 Mineral Salt Lamb

  • 8/10
  • The mineral salt lamb was definitely very interesting
  • It was crunchy on the outside
  • And very lamb-y flavour with a good amount of seasoning
  • The fatty bits were delicious and the ability to choose the amount of spices you want on it was great.

Address: 1661 Granville Street, Vancouver

Type of Restaurant: Chinese, Asian

Price Range: $$$$

Overall: 7/10

Will come back? No

Summary: Food is okay but definitely not the best. When I went, which was a Saturday at 12, there was only one other table occupied. This is definitely a fine dining establishment. Service was okay, attentive but didn’t feel like they genuinely cared. Overall wouldn’t be back.
