Date Visited: March 28 2015
What I ate:
Steamed Chicken feet in Szechuan sauce
  • 7/10
  • It was okay, not bad, good amount of meat and flavour
Steamed Sweet egg yolk buns
  • 6.5/10
  • Good amount of liquidiness
  • But not enough egg yolk
Steamed pork dumplings
  • 7/10
  • Good amount of pork
  • Not enough shrimp
  • Flavours are okay – nothing special
Egg Tarts
  • 7/10
  • The tart was buttery but could have been more flaky
  • The egg tart was not too sweet but it was not as soft and custardy as I would have liked
Vegetable dumplings
  • 7/10
  • Not bad, had a good amount of flavour in the skin but it broke a little too easily
  • The filling had a good amount of shrimp that was quite fresh
Rice Flour Rolls with Chinese donut
  • 6.5/10
  • The Chinese donut was not crunchy enough
  • Lacked flavour
Spare Ribs and pumpkin with rice hot pot
  • 7/10
  • Good amount of spare ribs and the rice was acceptable
Vegetable Fried Noddle
  • 6/10
  • Somewhat bland
  • Good amount of vegetables
  • Noodles were properly cooked
Address: 1132 East Hastings Street, Metro Vancouver
Type of Restaurant: Dim sum, Chinese, seafood
Price Range: $$
Overall: 7/10
Will come back? No – too far away and kind of expensive
Summary: Dim Sum at Pink Pearl was okay. No lineups and the place is big, good for big groups

  1. I love having dim sum. one of my favorites is the chinese ‘donut’ but yes it is only great if friend properly and not sitting out too long so that it retains its crunchiness.
