What I ate:
Hoisin – hoisin sausage pork, cilantro, cucumber, pickled radish and carrot, mayo and hot sauce
  • 7/10
  • It’s been a long time since I’ve been to Miura, my last visit was back in 2012 when they were situated in Davie
  • The Hoisin had a good amount of flavour, the hoisin pork sausage was baked into the waffle itself which helped ensure that there was sausage in every bite
  • The pickled radish and carrot allowed for a nice crunch and tartness to off- balance the sweetness of the waffle
  • The hoisin and mayo added some great flavours
  • My only complaint, and I’ve known this about miura for a while, is that their waffles aren’t crunchy. I really do prefer crunchy waffles
Nori Chips
  • 6.5/10
  • These were quite interesting
  • Somewhat crunchy and nice seaweed taste
  • Complaint – not crunchy enough and lacked salt and seasoning

Summary: The waffle sandwich combination is quite nice and had some good flavours and textures. My only complaint is the waffle itself isn’t crispy.
