What I ate:

Classic – signature tonkatsu (pork) broth simmered to perfection. Noodles are freshly made in-house

  • 7/10
  • The broth was very rich and flavourful
  • The noodles did taste fresh but not my favourite kind of noodles (I prefer thicker ones) lacked edginess lacked bounciness
  • I enjoyed the toppings on top which did add freshness to it
  • The pork was not as tender as I would have liked but there was a good amount of fat

Chashu-Don

  • 7/10
  • Good amount of chashu to rice ratio
  • Chashu was somewhat tough
  • Not too salty, had a bit of sweetness to it

Okonomi-Gyoza (sorry for the incomplete pictures, couldn’t wait to eat it after hearing all the raves about it)

  • 7.5/10
  • Soggy by the time I ate it
  • Could have been more crunchy
  • But the okonomi toppings masked all the other flavours of pork and freshness, made it a little too rich

Address: 223 E Georgia St, Vancouver, BC V6A 1Z6

Type of Restaurant: Japanese, Noodles, Ramen

Price Range: $$

Overall: 7/10

Will come back? No

Summary: The ramen was okay, definitely won’t be my go to ramen. But it’s always great to check out different ramen in Vancouver!
