Wednesday Foodie Getaway: Shihinori

Finally, after 3 years of wanting to eat Shishinori, I’m finally here. Is this a hyped up place or not? And after 3 years of hyping will it live up to the hype?

I would say, yes, it did. I had the spicy chicken bowl meal with Peach green tea and mango pudding. The spicy chicken bowl was pretty good. The flavours were on point. Not too spicy, it was more sweet and spicy balance. The chicken was nice and juicy and went well with the spicy sauce. The rice was well cooked brown rice. The salad was just salad. After eating this, I was full but not too full and I felt pretty satisfied and a tad healthier than before. All the flavours were pretty on point.  Rating: 8/10

The Peach green tea was okay, nothing special. Couldn’t really taste the peach that much and it was slightly on the sweeter side. The mango pudding tasted like the ones out of the box. Rating: 6.5/10

Overall – Shishinori definitely impressed me with their spicy chicken bowl and balance of flavour and vegetables. Rating: 7.5/10

I would definitely want to come back to try their matcha parfait.
