I ventured all the way out of Metrotown to try this somewhat new Taiwanese restaurant. They have quiet an extensive menu filled with many items but unfortunately we were only two people so I couldn’t order everything.
I had the popcorn chicken – which was a generous portion. It was nicely salted and the outer batter was not too thick. It was crunchy but the inside was slightly dry.
I also had the peanut noodles which I realized afterwards was the wrong choice. These were basically like udon noodles doused in peanut sauce with fried chilli oil on top. I did like the fried chilli oil on top but other than that, nothing stood out about this dish and I couldn’t even finish half of it.
Overall: I thought that the restaurant is good for people who don’t like lively atmospheres. The food is mediocre and I definitely won’t be back anytime soon. 5/10
