About the Author

Miyu is a blogger, writer, content developer, community builder, foodie, baker, and drama addict and food enthusiast. Her work is about reviewing, storytelling and helping people engage with the foodie community in a meaningful way. She is based in Vancouver and currently studying in university. She hopes to be able to travel more often. Everyone has their own opinions and experiences and she uses this platform to express her own thoughts. She uses this blog as a way to record her thoughts on the food she consumes.

When did food become part of Miyu’s life?

Food became an important part of her life when she realized how much joy and happiness it could bring to others. Her grandmother taught her how much joy food brought to others. Whenever she would go to her grandmother’s house, her grandmother would always make lots of food and just watched her children and grandchildren eat. One day, Miyu asked her grandmother why she doesn’t eat herself; and she said it was because she felt full just watching them eat. That’s when she realized how much happiness food brought to others and she herself began to bake and cook for her friends and relatives as well. This is when food became the biggest joy in Miyu’s life.

Why do you call your blog Just a Morsel

This blog is called Just a Morsel because although she does love to eat, she doesn’t always have room for everything so she just has a morsel which is where this blog name came from

Is your real name Miyu?

She goes under the name Miyu because it sounds like Me and You which describes her relationship with food. Me (Mi) as me and You (Yu) as in food. It’s to represent that the fate between food and me just cannot be broken.

A rule you abide by when you cook?

Never make the same recipe twice.
